This privacy policy describes how Vera RCM, Inc. ("we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with MacSeeker (the "App") and the macseeker.com website (the "Website").

The short version: MacSeeker does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Your files never leave your Mac.

Information We Collect

None. MacSeeker does not collect any personal information, usage data, analytics, telemetry, crash reports, or diagnostics. The App makes no network connections and operates entirely offline on your Mac.

File Access

MacSeeker accesses files and folders on your Mac solely to perform the search operations you initiate. All file access is:

• Local only — files are read on your Mac and never uploaded, copied, or transmitted anywhere
• Sandboxed — MacSeeker runs inside the macOS App Sandbox, which limits the App's access to only the folders you explicitly grant permission to
• On-demand — files are only accessed when you perform a search; no background scanning or indexing occurs

Purchases and Payments

MacSeeker is available on the Mac App Store with a 3-day free trial and a one-time purchase of $4.99. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We do not receive, process, or store any payment information, including credit card numbers, billing addresses, or Apple ID credentials.

Website

The macseeker.com website is a static site. It does not use cookies, tracking pixels, analytics services, or any form of user tracking. No personal information is collected through the Website. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party tracking tools.

Third-Party Services

MacSeeker does not integrate with any third-party SDKs, analytics platforms, advertising networks, or data brokers. The only external service involved is Apple's App Store and StoreKit for purchase processing, which is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.

Children's Privacy

Because MacSeeker does not collect any data from any user, it is compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar regulations. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 — or from anyone.

Data Retention

We retain no data because we collect no data. Search queries, results, and file contents are processed in memory during your search and are not saved, logged, or transmitted.

Your Rights

Under GDPR, CCPA, and similar privacy regulations, you have rights regarding your personal data. Because MacSeeker collects no personal data, there is nothing to access, correct, delete, or port. If you have questions about this, please contact us.

Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and post the revised policy here. Because we have no way to contact users directly (we don't collect email addresses), this page is the sole notice mechanism.
